Catherine Brown (married name Gibson) (born 21 March 1931) was a Scottish swimmer. In 2008 she was inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame.

Gibson represented Great Britain at the 1948 Summer Olympic Games, held in London. She competed in the 100 m backstroke, 400 m individual medley, 4×100 m freestyle relay and the 400 m freestyle in which she won the bronze medal in a time of 5 minutes 22.5 s. She also competed at the European Championships in 1947, collecting two silver medals.
